For those of you who love neutral tones as well as everything simple, sleek, elegant, and eminently adjustable! This sterling silver lariat necklace features a simple hoop at one end of the necklace chain, with a large, wonderfully chunky triangular beach pebble in a 'backless' setting at the other.
Thread the pendant through the hoop twice (or maybe even thrice!) for security, and adjust the length of the drop to whatever suits you ~ in other words, wear it however you like!
This is the longer length lariat, with a .925 sterling silver curb chain measuring 20" in length.
** UK 5p coin (about the same size as a US dime) is shown for size comparison only and not included! **
Fully hallmarked by the Edinburgh Assay Office.
- A hallmark tells the story of who made an article, what the article is made of (gold, silver, platinum, or palladium), the fineness of the precious metal, and where the article was assayed.
- A hallmark must consist of at least three compulsory marks: a sponsor’s mark (maker’s mark), a metal fineness mark, and an assay office town mark.
- A hallmark may also include an optional date letter, indicating when the article was hallmarked, or an optional traditional metal fineness mark, such as the Lion Rampant (sterling silver).
- The UK Hallmarking Act 1973 states that all silver items with a metal weight of more than 7.78 grams must be hallmarked.
Seadragon Silver's hallmarks include the maker's mark (the initials SM in a quatrefoil); two metal fineness marks (925 and the Lion Rampant) to denote sterling silver; the Edinburgh Assay Office mark (castle); and the date mark ('W' for 2021; 'X' for 2022).
Additionally, in 2022, Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II became the first British monarch to celebrate a Platinum Jubilee — 70 years of service — having acceded to the throne in 1952. To celebrate the occasion, the British Hallmarking Council sanctioned a commemorative component mark. Designed by Thomas Fattorini, this unique mark depicts the initials 'ERII' and the number 70 encased in a decorative orb. It was only available in 2022.
About Seadragon Silver
I was born in the Year of the Dragon according to the Chinese zodiac, and I love creating simple, sleek jewellery. I use a lot of seaglass, most of which we find along the beautiful beaches of the North Norfolk coast here in England, as well as beautiful semi-precious gemstones, surfite, Fordite and dichroic glass.
I'm proud of every piece I make, and I hope you enjoy wearing my jewellery as much as I love making it.
