From My Mother's Tropical Garden
In many cultures, the morning glory is associated with love, affection, and spiritual enlightenment — as well as the cycle of life and rebirth, as its pretty, delicate flowers which bloom so profusely in the morning die by the time evening rolls around.
This little heart-shaped leaf pendant is from the ipomoea lacunosa variety, also known as the whitestar for its white flowers. It grows profusely in Malaysia, where my mother lives, and where I collected the leaf.
Moulded using Art Clay Silver which, when fired, magically transforms into pure silver, the pendant is presented on an 18" sterling silver curb chain.
About Seadragon Silver
I was born in the Year of the Dragon according to the Chinese zodiac, and I love creating simple, sleek jewellery. I use a lot of seaglass, most of which we find along the beautiful beaches of the North Norfolk coast here in England, as well as beautiful semi-precious gemstones, surfite, Fordite and dichroic glass.
I'm proud of every piece I make, and I hope you enjoy wearing my jewellery as much as I love making it.
